Usage Fees

Some Main Streets features have usage fees associated with them. Usage fees help keep the fixed costs of our services low for all of our customers.

Usage fees are billed at the start of each month for activity in the previous month.

Online Payment Transactions

Main Street Sites charges a fee of $0.10 per transaction for online payments that are processed through Back Office.  Online payments include Paypal payments, ACH/e-check payments and credit/debit card payments processed using a merchant account/gateway.  Online payment transaction fees are waived for new customers for the first six months.

Back Office payment transaction fees are in addition to any fees charged by your payment processor (Paypal, gateway, merchant account, etc.).

Email Marketing

Each Main Street Sites customer is given a number of email credits to use each month, based on services they are using.

The free monthly email credit levels for each service are:

If you have... ...you can send this many free emails per month
a Basic Website 500
a Premium Website 1,500
Back Office 1,500

This means that customers with a Premium website and Back Office can send up to 3,000 free emails each month. Additional emails in a given month cost $.005 (1/2 of 1 cent) to send.

You will never be charged any additional email fees without your consent. Whenever any additional cost applies you'll be asked to confirm the cost before the emails are sent.

Also, note that these limits only apply to emails sent using the email marketing features. Email notifications for registrations, make-ups, contact us inquiries, etc. are not limited in any way.

Online Store

The Main Street Sites online store feature is available for free with Back Office for up to five active products. If you wish to sell more products in your store, the following fees will apply:

Multiple User Accounts

Premium websites and Back Office accounts support multiple user logins. In addition to the main administrator login, you can create 5 user accounts at no additional charge. Additional fees apply if you wish to have more than five active user accounts.

Third Party Merchant Accounts

For customers in the U.S., Main Street Sites charges a $20 monthly fee for accounts that use a third party merchant account. We charge this fee because we have found it to be more costly to support customers with third party merchant accounts. If you would like to avoid this fee, please talk to us about getting a merchant account through one of our preferred processing partners. If you already have a merchant account, it is likely that we can meet or beat your existing rates.  Please contact us for details.
